Bar Harbor YB's
Lighting the way to a cure for cancer for 10 years

When their friend, Carol Dyer, lost her battle with brain cancer in June of 2001, a dedicated group of local women decided to channel their grief into planning an event that would honor her by giving others a fighting chance. Ten years and over $50,000 to the American Cancer Society later, the Carol Dyer Memorial “Light the Way to a Cure” Luminaria Evening has provided comfort and inspiration to the community of Bar Harbor, Maine, as folks come together to honor the past and hope for the future of a cure for this horrible disease. These women call themselves the Bar Harbor YB's.
