Taryn Trafton
Chronicles of a Portlander

My name is Taryn Trafton. I grew up in North Yarmouth, Maine and attended Greely High School. I love to travel. My junior year in high school I studied abroad in a little Chilean city called Quillota. After high school I deferred the first semester of college and traveled back to South America, specifically Chile. I worked as a sternwoman on the back of a lobster boat that summer before college and hoarded my nuts in order to return to a place I love. I was two years older, wiser, and wealthier. Upon return from S.A., I attended Wheaton College, Massachusetts and graduated with a B.A. in Psychology. Junior year of college I participated in an intercollegiate program between Wheaton and Dartmouth College. A few things I love are reading, writing, the news, Chelsea Lately (Even though I had to downgrade my cable package because I am poor this winter and I can no longer watch her show), skiing, tennis, Spanish, Ken's Steak House Italian Dressing, coffee and the state O' Maine.
