Light Up Castine Celebration Events in December | Events
The Town of Castine is pleased to present the 2nd annual Light Up Castine celebration. Beginning in early December we set Main Street aglow and welcome visitors to enjoy the magic of our historic downtown. Special events throughout December include the following:
Santa visits Compass Rose Bookstore from Noon to 2pm on Saturdays, December 1st, 8th & 15th. Refreshments and photographs will be provided.
Saturday, December 1st
Holly Berry Fair at the Trinitarian Congregational Parish on Main Street, 10am to 2pm.
Friends of Witherle Memorial Library Book Sale at the Library on the Town Common, 11am to 2pm.
Castine Historical Society Open House at the Abbott School, 11am to 3pm and there will be a Bicentennial Quilt will be on display and gift store open for holiday shopping (open weekdays by appointment throughout December).
Wednesday, December 5th
Castine Town Band Concert at the Trinitarian Congregational Parish on Main Street, 7pm and the town band will be joined by MMA students and musicians from throughout the area.
Friday, December 7th
Christmas Tree Lighting on the Town Common off Court Street, 5pm and downtown shops will be open during the evening so get your shopping done early!
Monday, December 10th
“Castine Christmas” Children’s Concert at the Trinitarian Congregational Parish on Main Street, 7pm.
